Important Message About Hospital-Based Physicians

Hospital admission may include services rendered by an anesthesiologist, radiologist, pathologist, ER physician, or neonatologist. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas makes every effort to contract with hospital-based physicians that routinely provide services at your network facilities.

The information provided is being made available to assist you in deciding which facility has contracted hospital-based physicians in an effort to minimize any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur. Your out-of-pocket expenses will be greater if you use anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists and/or emergency medicine physicians that do not participate in your network.

To confirm the hospital you may choose includes anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists and emergency medicine physicians that participate in your network, select one of the hospital lists below.

Note: Network provider agreements do not guarantee a network physician will be available at the time of each patient's service. Emergency medicine physician agreements generally apply to the attending physician only and do not always apply to the specialty care physician/professional provider consultations provided during emergency room visits. In addition, physician network participation is subject to change.
