How to Enroll in CHIP
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is pleased to offer the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in the Travis service area. If your child is uninsured, he or she may be able to get CHIP.
Who is This Plan For?
To learn if you or your child qualifies for CHIP, visit the website. Once you find out if you qualify for CHIP or CHIP Perinate, you will choose a health plan. BCBSTX is one of the plans you can choose in the Travis service area.
To select BCBSTX for your CHIP plan, you must:
- Qualify for CHIP through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
- Live in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis or Williamson county
