How to Enroll in STAR Kids
We are pleased to offer the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas STAR Kids plan. If your child qualifies for the STAR Kids program, you may be able to pick BCBSTX as your managed care organization.
Who is This Plan For?
To qualify for STAR Kids, your child should meet these requirements:
- Be a child or youth through age 20 who qualifies for disability-related Medicaid.
- Must live in the to enroll in the plan.
- Must receive at least one of these:
- Social Security Income (SSI)/SSI-related Medicaid
-OR- - Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver program services, including:
- Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP)
- Deaf Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD)
- Home and Community-based Services (HCS)
- Texas Home Living (TxHmL)
- Community Living Assistance and Supports Services (CLASS)
- Youth Empowerment Services (YES)
Your child may meet both of these requirements.
