Recovering from a natural disaster is never easy. For our Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas members who live or travel in impacted areas, we are ready to help you:

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

  • Medical emergencies: Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
  • Non-emergencies: Call the Customer Advocate Department. They can help you find a health care provider or urgent care center in your network.
  • Bring your BCBSTX member ID card when you get care.
  • Disaster Preparedness Plan – Create a plan ahead of time. Make sure you and your family know what to do and where to go when a disaster hits.
  • Emergency Supply List  – Make an emergency supply kit now so you have the basic supplies needed during a disaster.
