Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas wants all our members to access quality health care. To do this, we want to learn more about you and our members.
You can help us by sharing your demographic data with us. This includes your:
- Race, ethnicity and language (REL)
- Sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI)
This data helps us better understand the care you and our members need. It also helps us improve access to care for all members.
While sharing your data with us is helpful, it isn’t required. Not sharing it won’t change your health coverage.
We’ll respect your data choices. We don’t discriminate based on:
- Race
- Color
- National origin
- Age
- Disability
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity
- Gender expression
Your REL and SOGI data are considered personal health information (PHI). We will protect it and keep it private the same way we do all your PHI.
