Things You Can Do Now

Here are some things you can do while you wait for your coverage to start.

Track Your Application

Follow your health plan application's progress. Also learn if you'll need to provide anything else. Log in to Application Tracker.

Make Your First Premium Payment

Don't forget, your application is not complete until you make your first payment. If you haven’t already, go ahead and make your first premium payment.

Use Provider Finder®

You can search for an in-network doctor and select a primary care provider (PCP) if you have an HMO health plan. Find my doctors on Provider Finder®.

Look for Membership Materials

After you make a payment, we usually need 48 hours to process your application. Then, you should start receiving your Welcome Letter or Email and other materials like:

Member ID Card

If you applied for a health plan, or chose a new plan during 2021 Open Enrollment Period (OEP), you should get your new member ID cards by early January 2021.

It has details like your policy number and our Customer Service phone number.

If you have a PPO health plan, you and any covered dependents will get member ID cards in your name only. If you have an HMO plan, any covered dependents will get an ID card with their name and yours.

Member Welcome Kit

You should get your Member Kit by early January 2021.

You'll get the specifics you need for your 2021 health care coverage, such as your Plan Benefit Book. Your book will include details on what’s covered with your plan.

You’ll also find helpful information and forms including:

  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Auto Bill Pay
  • Protected Health Information (PHI) Authorization Form

If you'd like to see more details now, please review your Member Guide.

Get Set Up Online

In addition to using Provider Finder® you can:

Sign Up or Log In to Blue Access for MembersSM (BAMSM)
