Get Texts and Emails

Opt in to receive text messages and emails from BCBSTX so you can:

  • easily access important updates about your TRS-ActiveCare plan
  • act quickly when needed
  • learn about new plan features immediately
  • have savings tips and coverage tools at your fingertips
  • get alerts when your claims have been finalized

Text messages are the easiest way to get information about your plan – quickly. The messages we send you will stay in your feed, so you can scroll anytime to see them.

We'll also send you informational and helpful emails. Emails include information about important announcements, coverage and benefits and health and wellbeing programs.

Digital ID Card

A digital ID card gives you easy access to your coverage information all the time. While you may have received your ID card in the mail upon enrollment, you can also get it digitally. And yes, you can use the digital ID card at doctor’s appointments. There’s two ways you can get your digital ID card – on your phone and on your computer.

By phone

  1. Download the BCBSTX App.
  2. Log in with your Blue Access for MembersSM username and password. If you don’t have one, create an account.
  3. On the dashboard, select View ID Card.
  4. That’s it! You’re looking at your digital ID card. You can save the ID card directly to your phone for easy access.

By computer

  1. Log In to BAMSM using your username and password. If you don’t have one, create an account.
  2. Click on the ID card icon on the dashboard.
  3. That’s it! You’re looking at your digital ID card. You can download or print the ID card from here
