Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is negotiating new contracts with Unified Women's Healthcare of Texas. If we don’t reach an agreement by Aug. 1, 2026, UWH of Texas won’t be in network for many BCBSTX health plans, including TRS-ActiveCare.
You're our priority. BCBSTX is negotiating in good faith. We’re committed to reaching an agreement that will continue to give you access to UWH of Texas at a fair price.
Even if UWH of Texas leaves our networks, you'll continue to have access to our network of doctors, health care professionals, hospitals and facilities. You can check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call a Personal Health Guide at 1-866-355-5999, seven days a week.
If we don’t sign new contracts, UWH of Texas providers will leave TRS-ActiveCare networks on Aug. 1, 2026.
As a customer-owned health insurance industry leader in Texas for 95 years, we advocate on your behalf for high-quality, cost-effective health care. Our goal is to protect your access to quality care at affordable rates. It's a responsibility we take seriously.
If BCBSTX can’t reach an agreement, or if you want to find another in-network doctor, you can:
