eviCore® Training for Advanced Imaging, Genomic Lab, Joint/Spine/Pain and Sleep Management Services

eviCore healthcare (eviCore) will be providing provider orientation sessions to review how to submit benefit prior authorization requests for the following services:

  • Advanced Imaging
  • Genomic Lab
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK) Joint/Spine/Pain Services
  • Sleep Management and Related Equipment Services

These orientation sessions will review prior authorization requirements and how to navigate the online eviCore portal to submit requests.

Each session will last about an hour, including a question and answer session. Registration is required. There is no cost for the training.

How to Register

  1. Go to eviCore Webex.
  2. Click on the menu bar symbol located on the left-side of the webpage and select “Webex Training.”. The “Live Sessions” page will display.
  3. Click the “Upcoming” tab and search by topic, course name or date. Look for BCBSIL/MT/NM/OK/TX before the course name (i.e., BCBSIL/MT/NM/OK/TX Advanced Imaging Provider Orientation Session).

    *Note: The start times on the “Live Sessions” page are listed as Eastern Standard Time (i.e., the Oct. 30 session for 1 p.m. CST will show as 2 p.m. on this page).

  4. Click “Registration” next to the appropriate training session and enter all required information.

Following registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing the following information:

  • Toll-free phone number
  • Meeting number
  • Conference password
  • Link to the web portion of the training session

Please retain the confirmation email. Use the link and toll-free phone number to access your training session.

Training Documents

If you’re unable to attend a training session, go to the Provider Resources page on the eviCore portal to download a PDF copy of the presentation or any additional documents. You will need to select "Blue Cross Blue Shield", "Texas" as the state and "Commercial" or "Medicaid" (Medicaid includes Medicare) as the Line of Business. Then select Solution Resources and the type of service for the orientation training session you are looking for.

The fact that a service has been prior authorized/pre-notified is not a guarantee of payment. Benefits will be determined once a claim is received and will be based upon, among other things, the member’s eligibility and the terms of the member’s certificate of coverage applicable on the date services were rendered.
