There has been a delay in the effective date of the previously posted changes to the prior authorization requirements for your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) patients who are H-E-B partners and have the Blue Choice PPO® health plan.
The previous effective date of Aug. 1, 2019, has been delayed until Aug. 31, 2019. Please refer to the original notice, New Genetic Testing and Revised Sleep Study Prior Authorization Requirements for H-E-B Partners with Blue Choice PPOSM, which details the transition of prior authorization requirements to eviCore® healthcare (eviCore) instead of BCBSTX for genetic testing and sleep studies.
