Living365® “Managing Your Asthma/COPD” Classes Available for Blue Cross Medicare Advantage Beneficiaries

To support our members with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) has partnered with Albertson’s to offer in person Living365® Asthma/COPD Management Health Education Classes through July 2019. Through our Living365® program, these educational classes are being offered at no additional cost for our members with a Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan at local Albertson’s Market, Randall’s and Tom Thumb.

These classes give beneficiaries the chance to:

  • Learn more about the causes, symptoms and management of asthma and COPD from a store pharmacist.
  • Better understand how to take inhaled medications. Using demonstration inhalers, the pharmacist will show the best techniques and common mistakes.
  • Take part in a question and answer session.
  • Receive free education materials – including an asthma/COPD booklet and water bottle.

Classes are expected to fill up quickly, so beneficiaries are urged to reserve a spot in the class quickly. Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-728-6655, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time (for Randalls and Tom Thumb classes).

Beneficiaries may bring one guest for the class, who does not need to be a BCBSTX member. Guests should also be registered for the event, as space is limited.

Please encourage your Medicare Advantage beneficiaries to attend the Managing Your Asthma/COPD class, offered exclusively as part of our Living365® program.
