District Ambassadors

District Ambassadors, or DAs, interact with district leaders to help them leverage TRS-ActiveCare to achieve their goals. DAs will:

act as strategic partners for district leadership as an extension of TRS
provide information about trends in the employee health care marketplace to inform district decision making
offer Annual Enrollment and health fair support
conduct TRS-ActiveCare benefits and wellness presentations
analyze utilization trends to collaboratively reduce participant costs

What is a BAA?

A BAA, or Benefits Administrator Advocate, are bswift employees here to help you with questions about eligibility, enrollment and district billing. BAAs will:

support eligibility questions, escalations, and exceptions
reconcile bills and split billing
provide access to the bswift ® portal
oversee TRS administrative rules • facilitate COBRA enrollment
confirm disability determinations
provide access to care updates
handle third-party administrator (TPA) discrepancy reports

TRS Event Attendance Request Form

Are you planning an event? You can submit a request for a BCBSTX representative to attend.

Please submit this form at least six weeks before your event date to allow enough time to fulfill your request. If your event is in less than six weeks, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Once the form is submitted, a BCBSTX representative will respond by email or phone within 72 hours. If you don’t hear from a BCBSTX representative within this time frame, please email us immediately at BCBSTX_TRSAmbassadorTeam@bcbstx.com
