TRS Motion+ Pilot Program in Region 4

Help your Employees Explore their Surgery Options

Have an employee dealing with pain and considering surgery? You can help them take advantage of TRS Motion+ in Region 4 to save on certain procedures. 

The TRS Motion+ Program is designed to improve outcomes for:

  • hip and knee replacement
  • cervical spine procedures

Who's Eligible?

Participants employed in Region 4 (Houston area) and their dependents can take advantage of TRS Motion+. If they don't know what region they're in, use this directory and search by district.

Program Benefit:

TRS-ActiveCare Primary, TRS-ActiveCare Primary+ and TRS-ActiveCare 2 participants:

  • will pay no more than a $2,000 copay for the procedure

TRS-ActiveCare HD participants:

  • will pay no more than $2,000 for the procedure once their deductible is met

What's Included?

The procedure and services provided as part of the procedure like anesthesia, pathology and professional services are covered under the $2,000 copay.

Without TRS Motion+, participants pay an average of:

  • $4,500 for a knee replacement
  • $4,400 for a hip replacement
  • $4,200 for a spinal fusion

Take Advantage of TRS Motion+

Getting the benefit is as easy as 1-2-3!

 Help them get started by sharing the TRS Motion+ push card.

Step 1

Participants must call a Personal Health Guide at 1-866-355-5999 to get a list of eligible providers.

Step 2

Ask their Primary Care Provider for a referral or make an appointment with the eligible provider they choose.*

Step 3

Call a PHG when surgery is scheduled. Your employee will need to know the date of service and ask their provider for the procedure code(s).

*If they have TRS-ActiveCare Primary or TRS-ActiveCare Primary+ plans, they're required to get a referral from their PCP.
