Provider Correspondence Viewer is an online application accessible through Availity® Essentials that allows providers to view, download and/or save specific documents related to the NPI and Tax ID associated with your Availity registration.
Currently, the following documents and/or correspondence are accessible through PCV.
- Prior Authorization and Referral Decision Letters: Digitally view and download prior authorization and referral approval and denial letters for services requested.
- Note: Digital retrieval for these letters is not yet available for Medicare Advantage or Texas Medicaid members.
- Risk Identification and Outreach (RIO): Initial outlier and follow-up outlier opioid prescriber letters.
- Pricing Update: Professional and ancillary pricing update.
- Prior Authorization Exemption: Notification of issued PA exempted services, as well as renewals of PA Exemption(s).
How to access the Provider Correspondence Viewer:
- Log into Availity Essentials
- Select Payer Spaces from the navigation menu and choose BCBSTX
- Within Payer Spaces, go to the Applications tab, then select the Provider Correspondence Viewer
