After a recent review of some health care services with Prior Authorization Exemptions, effective Oct. 1, 2022, providers were notified on June 30, 2023, if their PA Exemption was rescinded.
All rescission PA exemption notices for these reviews are available via the BCBSTX- branded Availity® Payer Spaces in the Prior Authorization Exemption Viewer. Any providers who submitted an alternate preference for HB3459 notifications (email or mail) by April 19, 2023, also received their notification by their preferred communication method.
Reminder: If your PA exemption was rescinded, providers must submit required prior authorizations after the date the PA exemption was rescinded.
