Blue Advantage HMO℠ and MyBlue Health℠ Insourcing, Effective Jan. 1, 2026 

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas rather than Magellan Healthcare will administer behavioral health benefits for our members with Blue Advantage HMOSM and MyBlue HealthSM.  See the communication to providers.

What types of networks are the impacted networks?
The Blue Advantage and MyBlue Health networks are commercial retail. 

What is the effective date for these networks? 
Blue Advantage and MyBlue Health will become effective at midnight on Jan. 1, 2026.

What is the difference between this agreement and the one that I have currently? 
Due to a contracting audit to prepare for the insourcing of these two networks, we noticed that the provider did not sign up for all available networks, so we are offering an additional agreement to add the additional network(s) in Texas. 

How does a provider request a fee schedule for the new networks?
The provider can request fee schedule disclosures through the provider website. 

How do I update my demographic information?
You can update your information using the demographic change form. Learn more. 

How do I update a TIN or request NPI changes for professionals and groups? 
We don’t change TINs. If a group requests this change, they must submit a new Onboarding application, and a new agreement will be generated under the new TIN. 

We can add and remove NPIs at the group level if the group NPI changes or additional type 2 NPIs are obtained by the group.
