Negotiation with Amarillo Medical
During the past several months, we worked closely with Amarillo Medical Specialists to try to negotiate new contracts. However, we were unable to reach an agreement.
Amarillo Medical Specialists left our Blue Choice PPOSM and Blue EssentialsSM networks as of May 1, 2026, but will remain in our Medicare Advantage networks.
You are our priority. You continue to have access to our robust network of doctors and health care professionals. Check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call the number on your member ID card.
Why It Matters
As of May 1, 2026, the doctors and health care professionals with Amarillo Medical Specialists are no longer in these networks:
- Blue Choice PPO
- Blue Essentials
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM
