Negotiation with Amarillo Medical
Amarillo Medical Specialists notified us that they intend to leave our networks on May 1, 2026. We’re working closely with the provider group and hope to reach an agreement before May 1 that will keep them in our networks.
You are our priority. We want to reach an agreement that will continue to give you access to Amarillo Medical Specialists at fair prices.
Even if the provider group leaves our networks, you’ll continue to have access to our robust network of doctors and health care professionals. Check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call the number on your member ID card.
Why It Matters
If we can’t reach an agreement, the doctors and health care professionals with Amarillo Medical Specialists will no longer be in these networks as of May 1, 2026:
- Blue Choice PPOSM
- Blue EssentialsSM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM

In the case of a life-threatening illness or injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility right away. Emergency services for commercial networks are covered at the in-network benefit level.
