The Goal

We are working closely with SWHR leadership and hope to sign new contracts before Oct. 4.

We want agreements that compensate SWHR fairly while being good stewards of your health care dollars.

Why it Matters

SWHR includes Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern hospitals, doctors and health care professionals.

If we don’t sign new contracts, SWHR will leave these networks on Oct. 4:

  • Par Plan
  • Blue Choice PPOSM
  • Blue EssentialsSM
  • Blue PremierSM
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM
  • Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM

Texas Health Resources doctors and hospitals will also leave the Blue Advantage HMOSM network on Dec. 18, 2022.

Our Next Steps

If we can’t reach an agreement, or if you desire to find another in-network doctor or health care professional, we’ll work with you to safely move your care.

In the case of a life-threatening illness or injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility right away. Emergency services for commercial networks are covered at the in-network benefit level.
