Next Steps and Timeline for Transition to HHAeXchange

EVV Requirements

Effective October 1, 2023, transition to HHAeXchange or receive approval as an EVV Proprietary System Operator (PSO). Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) Medicaid was notified of the Next Steps and Timeline for Transition to HHAeXchange. Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has selected Accenture State Healthcare Services LLC which will continue to be known as the (Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP)) for the EVV System Management Contract, Accenture is partnering with HHAeXchange to provide the new, single and state-funded EVV vendor system.

Additionally, it is a state and federal requirement that the HHAeXchange system be used when providing the following Medicaid services:

  • EVV required for Medicaid personal care services, effected January 1, 2021.
  • EVV is required for Medicaid home health care services, effective January 1, 2024.
