Negotiation with Ascension
We’re negotiating new contracts with Ascension facilities and hospitals. We’re working hard to reach new agreements, but if we don’t, Ascension Seton in the Austin area and Ascension Providence in the Waco area will no longer be in our networks as of Jan. 1, 2026.
You are our priority. We want to reach agreements that will continue to give you access to Ascension hospitals at fair prices.
Even if Ascension leaves our networks, you’ll continue to have access to our robust network of doctors, health care professionals, hospitals and facilities. Check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call the number on your member ID card.
Ascension Providence
If we can’t reach an agreement, Ascension Providence hospitals and facilities will no longer be in these networks as of Jan. 1:
- Blue Choice PPOSM
- Blue EssentialsSM
- Blue Advantage HMOSM
- MyBlue HealthSM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM
In addition, Ascension Providence providers will no longer participate in the MyBlue Health network as of Jan. 1 if we can’t reach an agreement.
Ascension Seton
If we can’t reach an agreement, Ascension Seton hospitals and facilities will no longer be in these networks as of Jan. 1:
- Blue Choice PPOSM
- Blue EssentialsSM
- Blue Advantage HMOSM
- Blue PremierSM
- Blue HPNSM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM
- Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM

- Log in to or sign up for your member account online or use the BCBSTX App
- Call the number on your member ID card
In the case of a life-threatening illness or injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility right away. Emergency services for commercial networks are covered at the in-network benefit level.
