Negotiation with Hendrick Health
Hendrick Health System in Abilene notified us that they are terminating their physician and hospital agreements Dec. 1, 2025, unless those agreements are modified. We’re working closely with Hendrick and hope to sign new contracts before that date.
You are our priority. We want to reach an agreement that will continue to give you access to Hendrick doctors and hospitals at fair prices.
Even if Hendrick leaves our networks, you’ll continue to have access to our network of doctors, health care professionals, hospitals and facilities. Check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call the number on your member ID card.
Why It Matters
If we can’t reach an agreement, Hendrick doctors, hospitals and other facilities will no longer be in these provider networks as of Dec. 1:
- Blue Choice PPOSM
- Blue EssentialsSM
- Blue Advantage HMOSM
Hendrick doctors and health care professionals will leave ParPlan on Dec. 1, and the hospital will leave ParPlan on Dec. 22, 2025, if we don’t reach an agreement.

In the case of a life-threatening illness or injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility right away. Emergency services for commercial networks are covered at the in-network benefit level.
