Submitting Documentation Requested from BCBSTX
In order to expedite the submission of requested documentation when providers receive a letter from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), providers should always place a copy of the letter as the 1st piece of documentation and the supporting documentation behind the letter. This will assist BCBSTX to get the requested documents to the appropriate area in a timely manner. This letter contains a barcode in the upper right corner to help ensure that the information you send is matched directly to the appropriate file and/or claim.
For example, when receiving a letter requesting medical records, attach copy of BCBS letter then add the medical records and any other supporting documentation behind the letter.
