  • Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) plans
  • Special Needs Plans (SNPs)
  • HMO Point-of-Service (HMO-POS) plans
  • Medical Savings Account (MSA) plans

Prescription Drugs

If your Medicare Advantage plan offers prescription drug coverage, you must get your drugs through that plan.

When you buy a Medicare Advantage Plan, you'll pay a monthly amount for all coverage, including:

  • Medicare Part A
  • Medicare Part B
  • Prescription drug coverage (if offered)
  • Any other benefits allowed by the plan

You'll also pay a set amount (copayment) at each visit.
