HealthSelect Network

The HealthSelectSM provider networks include tens of thousands of doctors and other health care providers. You can see a provider who is not in the network, but your costs will generally be much higher. To find the list of network providers, click on the box that applies to your coverage.

Even if a hospital is in the HealthSelect network, the doctors, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other providers who practice at that hospital may not be. Check with your hospital and providers to find out if they are in the network before scheduling a surgery or procedure. If a provider is not in the HealthSelect network, notify your PCP and ask if a network provider is available.

There are more than 50,000 providers in the HealthSelect network across the State of Texas. If you stay in the network, you will not owe a medical deductible. The plan pays 100% for in-network preventive care, including annual physicals and immunizations. Your provider must code the service as preventive.

If you see an out-of-network provider, you must meet a $500 per person or a $1,500 per family deductible before the plan begins to pay for non-network services. You will pay a larger share of the overall bill, and you may be billed at higher fees because the provider did not agree to a negotiated rate.

Consumer Directed HealthSelect has the same network as HealthSelect of Texas, with more than 50,000 doctors and other health care providers across Texas. Consumer Directed HealthSelect participants are responsible for paying their entire cost of non-preventive health services and prescriptions until they reach the annual in-network deductible of $2,100 per individual or $4,200 per family. The out-of-network deductible is twice as high as the in-network deductible: $4,200 per individual or $8,400 per family. Remember - it pays to stay in the network!

The plan pays 100% for in-network preventive care, including annual physicals and immunizations, even before you meet the deductible. Your provider must code the service as preventive.

Consumer Directed HealthSelect participants are not required to choose a PCP or obtain referrals to see a specialist.

HealthSelect Out-of-State

It is a nationwide network of providers, different than the HealthSelect of Texas and Consumer Directed HealthSelect network.
