Effective September 1, 2007, HMO coverage will no longer be available; HMO enrollees will automatically be enrolled in UT SELECT.

To be eligible for HMO Blue Texas coverage, you must live or work within the HMO service area.  When you enroll in HMO Blue Texas, you will be asked to select a primary care physician (PCP).  Your PCP will coordinate all of your health care and provide referrals to specialty care if needed. Females may also select a network OB/GYN and may schedule an appointment with that physician without a referral from a PCP. Except for emergencies, which are covered worldwide, you and your dependents must use HMO Blue Texas network providers to receive HMO plan benefits.
