Blue Cross Blue Shield Secondary to Medicare Claims Alert

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is experiencing an issue with electronic claims submitted when Blue Cross Blue Shield is Secondary to Medicare claims. It appears this 'issue' may have started mid/late December.

If you are receiving the denial message on your Provider Claim Summary (PCS) or Electronic Payment Summary (EPS) or Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) requiring Medicare Information, please do not resubmit these claims electronically until this issue has been resolved. We will inform you as soon as a resolution becomes available.

Note: This does not affect Medicare Crossover claims received from Global Health Incorporated (GHI), Medicare’s clearinghouse.
