BlueChoice Solutions is BCBSTX' Blue Precision network. BlueChoice Solutions is a high performance network that was developed as an alternative for employer groups seeking to provide affordable health care options to their employees.

Employer groups have addressed rising costs of health care by increasing the employee’s share of their premium and deductibles and coinsurance/copayments to the extent practical. After a certain point, increases in deductibles and coinsurance/copayments become prohibitive for many wage earners, cause significant barriers to care, and result in perceptions of low value for the premium paid. Employer groups are requesting cost-effective alternatives to existing provider networks.

BlueChoice Solutions is BCBSTX' alternative professional provider network option for PPO and POS benefit designs. It does not replace BlueChoice which will remain the primary network option. The BlueChoice Solutions professional provider network consists of a subset of physicians and professional providers within the current BlueChoice network.

All current BlueChoice hospitals participate in the BlueChoice Solutions network. Please note that not all ancillary providers that are participating in the BlueChoice network participate in the BlueChoice Solutions network.
