Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) is one of the most trusted and respected names in the health care benefits industry. Now, thanks to the BlueCard Preferred Provider Health Insurance Plan (PPO), your clients' can take advantage of that reputation almost anywhere in the United States.
Through the BlueCard PPO Program, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans work together to help ensure our customers receive affordable health care. Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans throughout the country have established Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) networks of contracting doctors, hospitals and other health care providers. These extensive provider networks — available to 97 percent of the U.S. population — are the key to the BlueCard PPO Program.

Freedom to Choose
With the BlueCard PPO Program, policyholders have the freedom to choose their provider. However, when utilizing BlueCard PPO contracting providers, they will receive network benefits for many services.
Available Care Coast-to-Coast
Whether policyholders are at home or traveling, information they need about the BlueCard PPO Program is only a phone call away. They may obtain information regarding BCBS PPO contracting network providers and hospitals by calling Customer Service at the number on the back of their ID card or the BlueCard Access telephone number at (800) 810-BLUE (2583) when medical services are warranted outside of their local plan service area.
