| How BlueCard Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Works |

- Locate a contracting doctor or hospital by visiting the Doctor and Hospital Finder. To find a provider outside the U.S., go to BlueCard Worldwide. When you become a member, you can also call BlueCard Access at (800) 810-BLUE (2583).
- Call Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas for any care requiring preauthorization.
- Schedule an appointment with the provider.
- Present your member ID card.
- You will need to pay for non-covered services, as well as any deductible, copayment or coinsurance amounts required under your health insurance plan. We'll send you a detailed Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
- Talk to your doctor about any follow-up care.
