Your out-of-pocket expenses may be be greater if you utilize a facility where hospital-based physicians do not contract with BCBSTX.
Effective May 1, 2008, HealthSelect of Texas participants will have the option of using Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) contracting Retail Health Clinics for medical services. A Retail Health Clinic is a health care clinic located in a retail setting that provides services of a routine nature rendered by appropriate licensed medical staff, which may include Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, and/or Physicians.
