HealthSelect is a Point of Service
This information is intended for Employees and Retirees Under Age 65 residing in Texas.
HealthSelect is a Point of Service (POS) plan and designed to share the costs of your care with you. It is not designed to pay 100% of your costs. Participants are typically required to pay a copayment or a deductible and/or coinsurance for services and HealthSelect pays the remaining eligible charges.
The amount you pay as a HealthSelect participant depends on whether you are using network or non-network benefits. Network benefits require that you pay less for your care than non-network benefits. Because of this, most participants utilize network benefits.
