HealthSelect Participants Can Now Access Their Care Profile Summaries Online
During the 2005 hurricane season, BCBSTX recognized the need to help physicians care for displaced members, regardless of where in Texas they evacuated to.
Following Hurricane Rita evacuation, BCBSTX processed the medical data of 830,000 participants living in 58 Texas counties as well as 14 southwest Louisiana parishes and converted it into electronic health records. This information was made available to appropriate physicians.
Now all BCBSTX participants have access to their own electronic health record through the BCBSTX My Care Profile located in the Personal Health Manager. After clicking on the Personal Health Manager Icon, simply:

Complete the Health Risk Assessment (if you have not previously done so)

Click on My Care Profile (found on the right hand side of the home page of Personal Health Manager)
To Access Personal Health Manager log in to Blue Access® for Members.
Participants Receive Discounts Up to 50%
As BCBSTX continues to take the lead in wellness, we are proud to offer our value-added discount programs to HealthSelect participants. Benefits Coordinators Meet the Challenge
It was wonderful to see and visit with so many of you during the 2007 Benefits Coordinator Conference. BCBSTX's Marketing and Account Management team enjoyed sharing information regarding health and wellness programs as well as providing the opportunity to take a Health Risk Assessment in the Personal Health Manager. Over 165 Benefits Coordinators completed the assessment and began their journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Another Great Summer Enrollment
BCBSTX was delighted to be able to share in the celebration of ERS' 60th Anniversary this summer and present information on the 2007-2008 HealthSelect medical plan.
Representatives participated in 107 summer enrollment meetings across Texas, which provided an opportunity to visit with more than 10,000 participants who were excited to hear there were no benefit changes this plan year.
