Retail Health Clinics
Retail Health Clinics are health care clinics located in a retail setting, such as a supermarket or pharmacy, which provides treatment of common illnesses and routine preventive health care services.
Effective May 1, 2008, you and your covered dependents can seek care in a network Retail Health Clinic for a $20 copayment without a referral from your PCP. If you or your covered dependent seek care at a non-network Retail Health Clinic, non-network benefits will apply. At this time, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has contracting retail health clinics in the Austin and Houston areas.
