Covenant Health System, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Sign Long-Term Agreement, Extending Network Access for Members More than 52,600 Blue Cross Members in Lubbock County and over 33,140 in Surrounding Counties to Benefit from New, Multi-Year Contract Ensuring Continuity, Cost-Effectiveness.
LUBBOCK – Covenant Health System and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas signed a long-term contract to provide quality care to the more than 52,000 Blue Cross and Blue Shield members in Lubbock County. The three-year agreement will allow Blue Cross and Blue Shield members continued access to all Covenant Health System facilities, physicians and wellness programs, including Covenant Hospital Levelland and Covenant Hospital Plainview. The agreement will result in more benefits and fewer out-of-pocket costs for Blue Cross members.

Covenant and Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan to collaborate on future initiatives including Texas Hospital Quality Initiative; Blue Care Connection® and other disease management programs; and Caring for Children Foundation.
