MONICA VILS-BRAWNER JOINS BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD OF TEXAS AS DIRECTOR OF MAJOR/NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
April 5, 2005, Richardson, Texas – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) has announced that Monica Vils-Brawner has joined the company as director of Major/National Account Management. In this capacity, she is responsible for account sales and service and directs a staff of 14 account executives and account management staff in the Houston regional office.
Most recently, Vils-Brawner served as managing director of Inter-Plan Programs at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in Chicago. Prior to her stint at the Association, she held several increasingly responsible senior management positions at Aetna, during a career that spanned more than 20 years. In her last post at Aetna, where she was vice president Sales & Service for National Accounts, she directed 20 sales and service professionals for southern Texas, targeting sales, revenue growth and retention of group insurance products.
Vils-Brawner brings to the company a balance of strategic National Account market insight and hands-on operational experience.
