COMPLETION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER IN AMARILLO
March 14, 2006, Amarillo, Texas — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas said today the company is targeting December 2007 as the completion date for its customer service facility in Amarillo. The health insurer plans to update construction plans, complete code reviews and prepare bid documents by May 1, 2006, for construction to begin as early as Aug. 1, 2006. The new facility, the seventh such Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas service center in the state, will be designed to accommodate approximately 500 employees.
“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is looking forward to completing our customer service center in Amarillo,” said Martin G. Foster, president, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. “As we continue growing and serving more members, we are confident that the outstanding work force in the Amarillo area will help us continue delivering high levels of customer service.”
