BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD OF TEXAS CELEBRATES
10TH ANNIVERSARY IN WICHITA FALLS

The Opening of the Blue Cross Facility in Wichita Falls Marked A Successful Year for the Local Business Community in 1998.

Wichita Falls, TX. (March 24, 2008) – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) said today that its employees and staff will mark the 10th anniversary of its customer service, claims and membership processing center in Wichita Falls, Texas, with a celebration at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 27, with invitations going to many local officials, dignitaries and business leaders.  The celebration will be held at the Wichita Falls Blue Cross facility at 2215 Southwest Parkway. (event is not open to the public).

"We are pleased to be a part of the business, employment and economic development opportunities that have come about in Wichita Falls over the past 10 years," says Leslie Adkins, site director of the Wichita Falls Service Center, "and that our employees have been active in supporting our community.  As Blue Cross continues to grow and serve more members, we are confident that the outstanding work force in the Wichita Falls area will allow us to continue delivering high levels of customer service and continue actively supporting local charities."

The Wichita Falls Service Center employs approximately 375 staff and provides a full range of services, including claims and membership processing and customer service to over 836,000 BCBSTX members.
